Perch prints

I’ve not had a chance to even think about fishing over the past few weeks. Moving from London to Wales and then the birth of my second lad has, of course, taken precedence over any piscatorial pursuits.

However, when the odd, fleeting hour of free time presents itself, I’ve been getting back into sketching and experimenting with lino cut prints. The process of actually cutting into the lino is an immensely satisfying one and I’m quite pleased with the results so far. I’m looking forward to experimenting further, particularly with colour and other species of fish. I do think the predators lend themselves especially well to this raw yet aesthetically pleasing method of print making.
